Sara Ali Khan On Brother Ibrahim’s Bollywood Debut: ‘Should Stick To His Values’

Sara Ali Khan hopes that her younger brother Ibrahim Khan gets a grand Bollywood debut as an actor. However, she says that she is not going to set an example or lead him on how to survive. In this time of nepotism, it is refreshing to see that an established actor wants the kin to make it on their own. The “Murder Mubarak” actress just wants to inspire him as an elder sister along the way.

Sara Ali Khan says Ibrahim is a smart person

As Ibrahim follows in his sister’s footsteps and forays into Bollywood, Sara wishes him good luck and success. But that is the extent that she is willing to go in terms of lending him support. When asked about setting an example for him with her work, she simply said no. “My brother is quite smart… it is his life, his luck and his talent.”

Sara Ali Khan’s logic is that they both had a good upbringing, so, he is very mature and knows his worth. “We both have been brought up in the same manner so I know he won’t drift from his chosen path,” she is confident that no matter how far he runs, he will come back to himself. “That’s what our mom (Amrita Singh) taught us,” she proudly says about being raised by a single mother.

No official announcement yet

Ibrahim Ali Khan’s debut has been in the news for several months now. But no one has made an official statement about his current projects. Although, there is confirmation that he is shooting for at least a couple of movies. And the industry is looking towards Sara Ali Khan’s younger sibling and how talented he is.

Ibrahim’s Aapa (elder sister) expressed hope and trust in his mettle as a performer and a human being. “I hope he maintains balance in his life and work. He should stick to his values,” she wished, calling him a grounded child.

Third generation from the Pataudi family

Sara and Ibrahim are Amrita Singh and her ex-husband Saif Ali Khan’s children. Saif is a senior actor whose mother Sharmila Tagore (wife of cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi) is a yesteryear’s Hindi heroine. So, Ibrahim and Sara Ali Khan are the 3rd generation to come from the Pataudi family.

Sara’s latest film “Ae Watan Mere Watan” is based on freedom fighter and Congress Radio founder Usha Mehta’s life. “Today’s youth needs to hear this story of self-belief, conviction and undying perseverance,” Sara said.
