‘Saved Rs 25k’: Fans Enjoy Diljit Dosanjh’s Jaipur Concert From Comfort Of PG Balcony, Video Goes Viral

Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh brought the second leg of his Dil-Luminati Tour 2024 to Jaipur, thrilling fans with a high-energy concert at the Jaipur Exhibition and Convention Centre (JECC) in Sitapura. Fans flocked to the venue to see the beloved singer perform live, while others found unique ways to join the excitement from a distance.

Social media was soon flooded with videos and photos of the show, including clips of fans unable to secure tickets finding their own viewing spots. In one widely shared video, a group of boys in a nearby PG (paying guest) accommodation were seen standing on their balcony, catching glimpses of the show. Captioned, “PG waalon ne la la la ke 25000 bacha liye” (“Those in PG saved ₹25,000”), the video showcased fans’ innovative ways of participating in the concert from afar.

Diljit himself shared another clip on his Instagram Stories, which captured crowds gathering outside the venue to catch the concert from the street. Fans were seen climbing on fences and standing on roadsides to enjoy the performance, but their excitement was cut short as police arrived, dispersing the crowd. With the text overlay, “What if we didn’t get tickets, we will watch Diljit from here. But the police chased us away from here too,” the clip captured the enthusiasm of those determined to experience the concert vibe.

The evening also had moments of heartfelt patriotism. Diljit took a moment on stage to celebrate India’s cultural diversity, speaking about his pride in the traditional turban and the country’s regional variety. “This turban is our pride. This is the beauty of our country after moving every 2-4 hours, our language and food change. All of us love our country,” he said, as he danced with a Jaipur local to his song Main Hoon Punjab.

Diljit also shared glimpses of his Jaipur visit on Instagram. Posing at the City Palace in a stylish white shirt, cream blazer, and black pants, he tagged the location without a caption. In another post, he expressed his admiration for Jaipur, calling it the “Beautiful Pink City,” and invited fans to join in on the festivities with a taste of Rajasthani cuisine, “Dal Bati Churma Khaa Ke Aana Baut BHANGRA HONEY WALA HAI AAJ SHAAM Ko.”
