Singer and Hollywood actor Selena Gomez gave a shout-out to two of her co-stars, remembering their chemistry. She said, “You guys are truly best friends to me forever.” Those actors are none other than her “Only Murderers in the Building” co-stars Steve Martin and Martin Short. She expressed her gratitude for them on social media and added a sweet message regarding their friendship.
Martin and Short’s influence over Selena
In this sweet tribute, the pop singer revealed how thankful she is for Martin and Short’s friendship. She says she had learnt a lot from them on and off the sets. On Instagram, Selena Gomez added a pic of the trio with the caption, “You have shown me a level of class, intellect and humour that doesn’t seem to be easy to find anymore.”
She started by expressing thanks for “truly being the most kind, gentle, warm and powerful influences in my life.” The three stars worked in the Hulu web comedy that has been airing since August 2021. They play 3 strangers who try to find the culprits behind a string of mysterious murders. The whodunnit-style series is set in an Upper West Side apartment building.
At the hit show’s season 4 launch, the “Single Soon” singer received white roses from Martin and Short. Gomez shared a pic of the roses and their note, “We’re so happy to be back with you, love, Steve and Marty.” It is then that she proclaimed them as her BFFs, “You guys are truly best friends to me forever. #thebear (inside joke).”
Selena Gomez joins the Wizards of Waverly Place sequel
Wizards of Waverly Place, that Disney Channel show that catapulted Selena Gomez as a child star, is back on sets again. Last week, the production house announced that they green-lit the sequel. What’s more exciting is that the original star of the magical series, Gomez, is returning as Alex Russo. The show will premiere late this year on Disney+.
Selena is also gearing up for her new biopic project based on Linda Ronstadt. The “Love You Like a Love Song” artist is currently immersed in researching for the role. Meanwhile, Gomez recently shocked everyone by saying that her next album might be her last one.
In a podcast, she said, “I think it’s natural for people to take breaks, but I think for me, there is a whole other aspect to my life, pride and joy.” Her one true love is acting, she continues, “I love film. I love TV. I just feel like I haven’t done a lot of the things that I want to do in that space… I would like to explore that world a bit more and have the time to do that.”
Internet Scrutiny over photos
Selena recently stunned her fans by going makeup-free. She posted a series of stories of all-natural selfies, sporting a grey cardigan and tousled hair. The bare-faced belle captioned the images, “Real,” which showcased her nose freckles.
On the other hand, she deleted 2 raunchy pictures within hours of posting them because of the negative comments. Selena Gomez has always faced trolls for her weight- “I don’t care about my weight because people bitch about it anyway,” she said once. She is currently dating music producer Benny Blanco.
