The trailer of Taapsee Pannu’s much-awaited ‘Sahbaash Mithu,’ biopic of iconic woman cricketer ‘Mithali Raj’ is out. As per the trailer, it looks so promising and has strong storytelling along with Taapsee’s acting skills. Shabaash Mithun will be going to tell the struggle and rise as a women’s World best cricketer and awards holder ‘Mithali Raj.’

The trailer was 2 minutes and 44 seconds long, Taapsee can be seen in action on the field, hitting fours and sixes, one after the other. Soon, the scene goes to a little Tamilan girl who catches a ball hit by her elder brother. Her talent was recognised at an early age and sent to begin her career as a Cricketer.

Playing Mithali, Taapsee had said, “There are cricketers who have records under their name. Some cricketers have a tremendous fan following. Some cricketers inspire you and make you believe that if they can so can you! And then there’s Mithali who did all of this in her classic graceful style and also changed the game of cricket where the presence of women is concerned.”

“Not just in our country but she will be remembered for her contribution to women’s cricket across the globe. I just got too fortunate as a fan who got to live her glorious journey of 23 years for a bit on camera which taught me so much about resilience and perseverance. She is truly a legend we can never thank enough,” she continued.

Shabaash Mithun is directed by Srijit Mukherji, Taapsee will be in the shoes of Former cricketer ‘Mithali Raj.’ The story settled around the Mithali Raj aka Taapsee Pannu. It shows her determination to raise her voice and wins the Indian Team jacket with her name ‘Mithali Raj’. The movie will release on July 15 in theatres.
