‘Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan Gave Me Strength’: Shalini Passi Recalls Challenges After Marrying Young
Shalini Passi, who became an overnight sensation with her debut in the third season of Netflix’s Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, has opened up about her deep bond with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. Known for her vibrant personality and unique lifestyle, the Delhi-based art curator and socialite has always been a close family friend of the Khans. Her husband, Sanjay Passi, shares a long-standing friendship with Shah Rukh Khan, having been schoolmates.
In a candid interview with Barkha Dutt on Mojo Story, Shalini spoke about her husband’s knack for maintaining relationships and her own contrasting personality. “Sanjay grew up with them and is extremely good with relationships, whereas I am sort of floating. I am very moody. He is great at keeping in touch with people, whereas I am not. I am there for you 100%, but also moody about it,” she revealed.
Shalini highlighted the special connection she shares with the Bollywood power couple. “They are very solid people from Delhi, who have made it big in Bombay. But they’ve stayed in touch with all their friends, which is quite incredible,” she said. Shalini also credited Gauri Khan for being a pillar of strength during her early years of marriage. “Gauri has given strength to me. She is someone who always spoke her mind. I knew I could trust them because what they give me is 100% genuine,” Shalini shared.
Beyond her celebrity connections, Shalini is gaining admiration for her dedication to helping others. She revealed how she allocates time each day to respond to strangers who reach out to her for advice and support. “They’re not just complimenting my looks and hair but expressing themselves. They update me about their lives and share personal stories,” she said, adding, “I reply to them during my dedicated time. This morning, I sent an audio to someone.”
Shalini also shared an anecdote about advising a fan from London struggling with severe acidity. “She asked me how to deal with it naturally. I recommended having saunf (fennel) after meals or saunf water,” she said. “I cannot ignore people when they reach out for help, even if they’re strangers.”
With her unfiltered charm and thoughtful gestures, Shalini Passi continues to captivate her audience both on and off screen.
