The King Khan’s ‘Jawan’ was released this year on September 7th. The movie saw the biggest opening in the history of Indian cinema, minting Rs. 129 crores.
Now the movie has gone exceptional on the popular OTT platform, Netflix. The extended version of Jawan was dropped on Netflix on November 2nd, on Shah Rukh’s 58th birthday. It is being said that this gesture is the way our King of Romance has chosen to present his fans with a special ‘return gift’.
Two weeks on Netflix and Jawan has already become India’s most watched movie on the OTT platform.

Shah Rukh’s ‘Jawan’ was sold to Netflix for a jaw-dropping Rs. 250 crores. The official X handle of Netflix announced the benchmark-any-movie-desires-to-achieve in a crisp tweet:

2023’s blockbuster record-breaking ‘Jawan’
Shah Rukh played the role of Vikram Rathod in Jawan which was released this year on September 7th. The director, Atlee has brought together an impressive ensemble with this action-packed thriller viz. Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliya Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, Sunil Grover, Mukesh Chhabra and Priyamani. Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt have special guest appearances. Shahrukh Khan’s impeccable performance in dual roles has done a great justice to the story, turning the Atlee directed ‘Jawan’ into a blockbuster right away. Jawan swooped in Rs. 129 crores on its opening day.
‘Jawan’ earned a whopping Rs. 200 crores within first three days of its release, making it the biggest blockbuster in the history of Indian Cinema to cross the mark of 200 crores. ‘Jawan’ then continued bulldozing the box office, collecting Rs. 300 crores in merely five days.
Shah Rukh Khan will next be seen in Dunki, Rajkumar Hirani’s take on comedy. This project will be the maiden collaboration of Khan and Hirani. The ‘Pink’ actress Taapsee Pannu is locked against Shah Rukh.
