Shaheer Sheikh definitely gave a surprise to all his fans when he mentioned his love affair with Ruchika Kapoor. He revealed quite late that he was involved with her and is very serious. And a few days back, he married the love of his life in a court marriage. Considering the pandemic and the current situation, he decided not to have a big affair for his wedding with Ruchika Kapoor but they’re certainly planning to have some celebrations in June next year as per their parents’ demands.

In an interview with Spotboye, Shaheer Sheikh stated that he always wanted a simple marriage and that he doesn’t even like to celebrate his birthday. Shaheer also revealed that Ruchika and his family were against a simple wedding, therefore the couple is going to celebrate in June. He was quoted saying, “I don’t even like to celebrate my birthday, so you can imagine. I always wanted my marriage to be as simple as possible. Ruchika and my family were not up for a simple one and that’s why we are planning something in June. Because of the pandemic, we also got an opportunity to keep it low key and have it like an intimate affair.”

Shaheer mentioned that everyone was upset because there was no celebration as such, which is why the couple has now decided to celebrate their wedding function in June 2021. When he was asked about how he convinced his parents for the court marriage, Shaheer stated that his parents wanted him to get married for a long time, so they did not object for their court marriage. “My mom was behind my life, so unhone kaha, ‘theek hai, tu kar raha hai na karle,’”said Shaheer.
