Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Jab We Met’ has a different fan base. It is counted among the cult movies of Bollywood. Recently, the film re-released in theatres to celebrate the month of love. The movie which starred the exes Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor in the lead is getting a tremendous response on its second time release. Now, a video of fans dancing on ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ inside the theatres is going increasingly viral on social media.
A fan shared the clip of excited cinema-goers grooving in their seats on the iconic song ‘Mauja Hi Mauja’ as the credits of the film come up on the screen in the end. Alongside the video, he tagged Shahid and wrote, “After almost 16 years Jab We Met in #ValentinesWeek is running housefull without any promotions in social media, speaks volume of a cult romantic comedy. @shahidkapoor bro do check reactions of public in theatre, u will love it.” The actor reacted to it. He called it “too special” and also added heart hands emojis.

For the unversed, ‘Jab We Met’ is back in theatres as part of a limited festival for romantic films. Imtiaz wrote and directed it. He got the Filmfare Award for Best Dialogues in 2007 for the film. Besides Shahid and Kareena, the film also featured Tarun Arora, Saumya Tandon, Dara Singh and Pavan Malhotra.
Some other classics are also getting screened currently in cinema halls. These include Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995), Titanic (1997), Minnale (2001), Premam (2015), Tamasha (2015) and Me Before You (2016).
