‘I do not want to lose the actor in me’
While promoting his upcoming film with Kriti Sanon, “Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya,” Shahid Kapoor responded to Hrithik Roshan’s recent comment about the ‘burden’ of stardom. Shahid acknowledged Hrithik’s perspective, stating, “I can understand why he’s saying that, I get it. I have the opposite problem, I do not want to lose the actor in me, so sometimes I sacrifice the stardom. I am on the other side of the fence. His journey is very different to mine.”
‘Being a star is a gift and a burden’
In a recent interview with Film Companion, Hrithik Roshan opened up about the challenges of being a star, describing it as both a gift and a burden. He expressed that the responsibilities and pressures of stardom can be overwhelming, making it challenging to purely focus on acting. Shahid Kapoor, in response to Hrithik’s comments, shared a different perspective. He acknowledged the challenges Hrithik highlighted but mentioned having the opposite concern – the desire to preserve the actor within and sometimes sacrificing stardom for it. Shahid expressed his admiration for actors like Leonardo DiCaprio, Amitabh Bachchan, and Dilip Kumar, who seamlessly blend stardom with substantial acting roles.
