Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has recently wrapped up the shoot of his maiden web series, his OTT debut helmed by Raj-DK for Amazon Prime Video.
As per a print publication, it is heard that Shahid Kapoor will dive into the world of Ali Abbas Zafar’s next later this month. The film is said to be the official adaptation of the 2011 French Actioner, Nuit Blanche (Sleepless Night).
As per Mid Day reports the Haider star’s first film with Ali Abbas. The director has begun the pre-production for the yet-untitled movie that will see the actor play a cop who is chasing drug lords. For the first schedule, Shahid will hit the ground running as he will shoot and elaborate action sequence. The rest of the team is still scouting for junior artists and body doubles who will be a part of the scene.
The Udta Punjab actor will play a cop chasing drug lords in the film, which will begin reading and preparation work next week. The aforementioned publication also reported that, while the filmmaker is laying the framework, the first schedule will be shot in Mumbai’s suburbs.
For the unversed, Nuit Blanche has already been remade in Tamil and Telugu as Thoongaa Vanam and Cheekati Rajyam respectively and now the Kabir Singh actor will star in another rendition of the 2011 action thriller film, directed by Frédéric Jardin.
The actor, who was last seen in the commercial blockbuster Kabir Singh alongside Kiara Advani, is gearing up for the release of his upcoming sports drama, Jersey. It also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles. The story is about a talented but failed cricketer named Arjun, who decides to make a comeback in his late thirties and play for India, in order to fulfill his son’s wish.
