Shahid Kapoor is giving a number of interviews and promotional events to promote his upcoming movie Kabir Singh. The actor is paired opposite Kiara Advani in the movie and the trailer of the movie has been praised a lot. In his recent appearance on the hit comedy show The Kapil Sharma Show, he was asked if he had been this aggressive with his house-help too. He had a very interesting reply to that.

The actor strongly denied by saying that his wife Mira Rajput brought along several house helps after their marriage, but even if he broke a glass, he would apologise to them and offer to clean up. Shahid also mentioned how he had to channel the dark side of his psyche for the film, wherein he plays a self-destructive alcoholic. As Shahid said, in the past, he would have to take long showers on his return back home, to wash away the smell of the 20 cigarettes he would have to smoke on the sets. On Kapil’s show, Shahid said that, metaphorically speaking he took those long showers was a reason to ‘cleanse him from all the anger and anxiety’ he was carrying on the set.
The film Kabir Singh is a Hindi remake of the Telugu hit film Arjun Reddy, that starred Vijay Deverakonda in the lead role. The film Arjun Reddy was also directed by director Sandeep Vanga. Kabir Singh starrer Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani will be releasing on June 21.
