Shakti Kapoor Revealed He Made His Wife Shivangi Quit Her Acting Career After Their Marriage

Veteran Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor has given several hit films in their entire career. He often stays far from the media but whenever he makes an appearance in media the interview goes viral. Recently, Shakti made a shocking revelation about his marriage and wife Shivangi Kolhapure in an interview that went viral on social media. Let us tell you that the actor recently attended an interview in which he said that he wanted a housewife and hence he made his wife Shivangi quit her film career which was at its peak at that time.

Let us tell you Shakti Kapoor got married to famous Bollywood actress Padmini Kolhapure’s sister Shivangi in the year 1982. Talking about Shivangi’s career, she was an actress and singer who has worked immensely in the industry. However soon after their marriage, the couple became parents of their cute daughter Shraddha Kapoor who is ruling the hearts of her fans and son Siddhant.

Shakti Kapoor recently attended a podcast ‘Timeout with Ankit’ in which he revealed that he begged his girlfriend Shivangi to give up her acting and singing career before marriage. Shakti further said that he would be grateful to Shivangi for the rest of his life for making such a big sacrifice. Even today he folds his hands in front of Shivangi for this. Shakti Kapoor said, ‘I met her. She was a child artist. I was playing the role of an old man in the film. She is 12 years younger than me. We met, and fell in love and I thought in my mind, ‘Where will I find such a homely and beautiful girl?’

Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor further said, ‘One day I told her that my work is getting disturbed and I need to focus on it. So she got angry hearing this from me. I realized my mistake and went to her and begged to her for leaving the industry. I apologized to her and told her that I want to marry you. I want you to be a housewife. We had a court marriage. After that everyone accepted our relationship.’
