Shakti Kapoor recently attended a podcast ‘Timeout with Ankit’ in which he revealed that he begged his girlfriend Shivangi to give up her acting and singing career before marriage. Shakti further said that he would be grateful to Shivangi for the rest of his life for making such a big sacrifice. Even today he folds his hands in front of Shivangi for this. Shakti Kapoor said, ‘I met her. She was a child artist. I was playing the role of an old man in the film. She is 12 years younger than me. We met, and fell in love and I thought in my mind, ‘Where will I find such a homely and beautiful girl?’

I realized my mistake and went to her and begged to her for leaving the industry. I apologized to her and told her that I want to marry you. I want you to be a housewife. We had a court marriage. After that everyone accepted our relationship.’
