‘Sharma Ji Ki Beti’ Actress Divya Dutta Talked About Her Entry Into Bollywood And How She Chooses Films

Bollywood actress Divya Dutta has given brilliant performances in many films. She made her debut in Hindi cinema with the 1994 film ‘Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna’. The actress has acted in films like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Delhi-6’, ‘Welcome to Sajjanpur’ and ‘Veer-Zara’. She has appeared in the recently released Tahira Kashyap-directed film ‘Sharma Ji Ki Beti’. During an interview, the actress talked about her entry into Hindi films. She told what she was thinking when she came to the Bollywood film industry.

During an interview, the actress recalled her early career in Bollywood films. Divya talked about her role in the 1998 released film ‘Train to Pakistan’. She said that she was uncertain about the film. She believed that she would get to wear a chiffon saree in Bollywood. Divya said, ‘I came to films thinking that I would wear a chiffon saree and dance to the songs of rain. I didn’t know if I should play this role or not.’

Divya Dutta further told in the conversation with the media house how she chooses her role in films. She said that she always listens to her conscience. The actress said that if she does not like any role then she immediately refuses it and if she feels that she should play the role then she says yes to it and gives her hundred percent to the work.

Talking about the work front of the actress, she has recently appeared in the film ‘Sharma Ji Ki Beti’. Apart from her, Saiyami Kher, Sakshi Tanwar, Sharib Hashmi, and Parvin Dabas are also with her in this film. The film is streaming on OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. The actress has played brilliant roles in films like ‘Stanley Ka Dabba’, ‘Heroine’, ‘Aaja Nachle’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Manto’, ‘Lootera’ and ‘Special 26’.
