Sharvari told in an interview with one of the media houses, ‘I had no idea how films are made. I did not even know where the camera would be kept, whether the lenses of the camera would be used, or whether people would pick up the camera themselves for close-up. So I did not even know the basics.’ She further said, ‘I was auditioning, then I took a conscious decision that I would work behind the set so that I could learn all this, and as an assistant director, I got to learn a lot. By staying on all these sets, I learned a lot about technicalities and I also learned a lot from the actors.’

She further said, ‘Like Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Kartik Aryan, Nusrat Bharucha… I learned a lot from all of them. Standing on the side and watching them was also a big thing for me because I was learning from them. This was the biggest learning for me about how actors perform.’ She also said, ‘Earlier I was not getting work. I was giving a lot of auditions. I had decided then that when I get a chance, I should have complete knowledge. Then it should not be like that now that I have got a chance, I will go and learn on the set. Although even today we learn, there should be knowledge of the basic things. No one should say that Sharvari does not know this.’
