Taapsee Pannu Compares Herself To Preity Zinta
Taapsee Pannu often makes headlines for both her professional and personal life. Recently, on Shikhar Dhawan’s chat show, Taapsee talked about her film career and how she transitioned from Telugu films to Bollywood.
Talking about her film career, Taapsee shared that while she was in engineering college, she received offers for Telugu and Tamil films. After a few years, she started getting offers in Bollywood as well.
She said, “Many people thought I was the new version of Preity Zinta. That was the reason I got offers in Bollywood. She has a lot of positive energy, and you probably know this better since you’ve interacted with her more. I have only seen her on TV or the big screen.
She Expressed: I believe Preity Zinta is vibrant and intelligent. I felt that I had to live up to the reputation for which they brought me into the industry, because of her name. Therefore, I have always tried to be like her.”
Taapsee began her film career in 2010 with the Telugu film Jhummandi Naadam and the Hindi film Chashme Baddoor. She gained attention in 2015 with her supporting role as an undercover agent in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Baby.
Since then, she has worked in films like Pink, Manmarziyaan, Judwaa 2, Saand Ki Aankh, Mission Mangal, and Thappad. Most recently, Taapsee was seen alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s film Dunki.
