Praising her mother and her efforts in her success, Manu Bhaker said, “My mother is my biggest inspiration. She always dreamed of becoming an athlete, but she never had the necessary resources or support. Though she never imagined the heights she could reach as an athlete, she was very good at sports. She always gave me the freedom to pursue my interests. Even when I was scared, she would motivate me by saying ‘Don’t worry… just play’. In a way, it is because of her dream that I am here today. Her support has been an inspiration for me. I believe that when the mother is strong, the daughter is definitely strong.”
