Shilpa Shetty-Shilpa Shirodkar, Not Malaika Arora, Were Original Choices For Role Of ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’; Read Here!
When Chaiyya Chaiyya was cast, Malaika Arora wasn’t the first choice; in fact, she wasn’t even the sixth choice of actor until she was finally approached.
Malaika Arora wasn’t initially considered to sing the catchy dance tune Chaiyya Chaiyya. Farah Khan has stated that she was approached after five other actors declined to dance on the moving train. From Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se (1998) comes the song “Chaiyya Chaiyya.”
On the premiere episode of Moving In With Malaika, airing on Disney+ Hotstar on Monday, December 5th, Farah will be seen discussing their hit from the 1990s. Malaika’s first foray into the digital realm is with this programme.
“You’re the Chaiyya Chaiyya chick. However, you’re in fortunate because five heroines opted not to board the train with you. No indication of Malaika could be found. Three or four additional persons were contacted along with Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Shilpa Shirodkar, and us. One was afraid of heights and the other couldn’t come because she couldn’t get on the train,” Farah was quoted as saying in a DNA article.
Later, the makeup artist remarked, “Malaika is a very good dancer,” which the director elaborated on. There was a lot of suspense as to whether or not she would succeed as she boarded the train. But as we all know, that’s ancient history now.
Malaika has assured both her supporters and her detractors that her new show, Moving In With Malaika, will provide viewers an intimate insight into her life. Many famous people who know and like her will appear on the show. Even though it hasn’t been confirmed, many of her pals, including Kareena Kapoor Khan, are expected to make appearances.
The actor-dancer opens up about her personal life, moving on after her divorce, and the bullying she’s encountered in the promos for her new show, Moving In With Malaika. Malaika had previously stated in a statement that for the longest time, the world had viewed her through the lens of social media, which is how she felt she was being perceived in light of the event. This time, however, she was eager to switch things up a little. In order to better connect with her audience, she created this show.
