Social media sensation Uorfi Javed aka Urfi always remains in discussion for her bizzare sartorial choices. Besides facing the wrath of trolls due to her outlandish outfits, she has also got embroiled into various legal controversies.

Recently, State President of BJP Maharashtra Mahila Morcha, Chitra Wagh filed a complaint against Javed alleging her of ‘spreading nudity on the streets of Mumbai’. While Urfi gave a befitting reply to the politician immediately, now Shiv Sena leader Sushma Andhare too has come out in support of the actress. She has slammed Wagh for her double standards and also questioned her why she does not object Kangana Ranaut for her bold dresses.

Taking to Facebook, Andhare began by discussing how outfits reflect the person’s level of comfort and their profession. She said that she wears a saree because she likes it and feel confident in it. But that doesn’t imply that others should also dress like her. Quoting an example of a tennis player and a teacher, Sushma stated, “A woman playing tennis will not be able to play tennis wearing a saree. And if I am a teacher, I should dress appropriately for my teaching profession.”

In the later part of her post, the political figure asked Chitra as to who gave her the right to beat a woman from a minority community like Urfi Javed. “And if you object to Urfi Javed’s outfit, can you object to Kangana Ranaut, Ketki Chitale or Amrita Fadnavis? Or will you bash them?”, quoted Sushma

Concluding her note, the Shiv Sena leader mentioned that nudity is more in thought and language than in clothing.

For the unversed, a video of Urfi recently went viral on the internet. She is stepping out in a black cutout top with jeans. It didn’t go down well with Chitra. Sharing the video on her Twitter handle, she accused the actress of “indulging in nudity publicly on the streets of Mumbai.” She also demanded the arrest of Urfi.
