Indian actress Shruti Haasan is one of those celebrities who does not keep mum on rubbish being spread in her name. She is quite vocal on social media and keeps sharing about whatever is happening in her life. In the past, Haasan has openly talked about battling with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) and depression. However some portals are misusing this information at present.
Recently, the pre-launch event of Shruti’s upcoming film Waltair Veerayya took place. But the actress could not make it to the program and was absent from the same. Soon after, several reports of her not doing well mentally started surfacing online. Shruti, who is known for her badass nature has now slammed all these publications. She also revealed the prime reason of skipping the event.
Taking to her social media handles, the Luck actress has expressed strong displeasure while condemning such claims. She has clarified that she could not attend the program due to viral fever.
Shruti shared screenshots of several media reports which claimed she has ‘mental problems’ and is undergoing treatment. Alongside these, she wrote a long note which read, “Ok…so the thing is people are scared to talk about it because of this kind of misinformation and over-dramatization of the subject. Guess what? It doesn’t work. I will always keep talking on mental health. I will always take care of my health.”
For the unversed, Waltair Veerayya is directed by K. S. Ravindra and produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and co-produced by G K Mohan. It stars Shruti Haasan with Chiranjeevi, Ravi Teja and Catherine Tresa. The film is set to hit the theatres on January 13.
Besides Waltair Veerayya, Shruti’s Veera Simha Reddy will also release on the same day. The actress has The Eye and Salaar in the pipeline.
