On social media, an old video from 2016 that showed Shweta Bachchan doing a ramp walk for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla reappeared. Netizens, however, had strong reactions to it.

Shweta Bachchan is one of the most adored celebrity children and the daughter of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. She hasn’t pursued acting like her sibling has. Rather, she is an author, columnist, and former model from India. In addition, Shweta debuted MXS, her fashion label, in 2018. She walked the ramp for one of the Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla collection launches in 2016, prior to that, during her modelling days. Netizens harshly criticised Shweta’s walk on the ramp when the video went viral.

A Reddit user recently posted an old Shweta Bachchan Nanda video. As the show-stopper for the introduction of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s new collection, Enchanted, in collaboration with Volvo, she could be seen in the video walking the ramp. Shweta looked stunning for the walk, too, wearing a white gown adorned with tiny embroidery and floral patterns. She looked stunning when she paired it with a feather cape from the same collection.

Shweta accessorised her look with an open hairstyle and a feather hairband. Her look was finished with glam makeup that included red lips and kohl-rimmed eyes. Speaking of her ramp walk, she was spotted on stage performing a number of dramatic gestures after taking some breathtaking steps.

Netizens’ reaction to Shweta’s ramp walk

Shweta was mercilessly criticised for her ramp walk, though, as it didn’t sit well with online users. A user did, however, “10 y/o me pretending to be a supermodel in front of my mirror”, another netizen penned, “Shweta di wasn’t allowed to act in Bollywood, so she’s finally living her dreams doing whatever this is.” One more comment read, “Oh my god! Shweta Bachchan’s ramp walk was adored by her devoted parents, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, as well as her brother, Abhishek Bachchan, in some old photos that went viral at the time. The Bachchans could be seen applauding and cheering for Shweta as she went down the ramp in the glimpses. In addition, Amitabh was seen kissing his daughter on the cheeks in one of the glimpses, and the scene was simply priceless.
