Following her contentious comments during a press conference, actress Shweta Tiwari has found herself in hot water. Following that, she became a social media sensation. Some people were offended by the actress’s statement, and they demanded an apology from her. During a press conference to promote her forthcoming web series ‘Show Stopper,’ she commented on her undergarments. And now, Shweta apologized publicly, saying she didn’t mean to offend anyone.
The apology note reads, “It has come to my notice that a certain statement of mine referring to a colleague’s previous role has been taken out of context and has been misconstrued. When put in context, one will understand that the statement about ‘Bhagwan’ was in context with Sourabh Raj Jain’s popular role of a deity. People associate character names with actors and hence, I used that as an example during my conversation with media. However, it has been completely misconstrued which is saddening to see. As someone who has been a staunch believer of ‘Bhagwan’ myself, there is no way that I would intentionally or unintentionally say or do any such thing that would hurt sentiments by and large. I have, however, come to understand that when taken out of context, it has unintentionally hurt the feelings of people. Please be assured that it has never been my intention to hurt anyone, with my words or actions. Hence, I would like to humbly apologize for the hurt that my statement has unintentionally caused to a lot of people.”
In a press conference in Bhopal on Wednesday, Shweta Tiwari mentioned God when discussing her innerwear. “Mere bra ke size bhagwan le rahe hai (God is taking the measurements for my bra),” Shweta said. This video quickly went popular when it was shared on social media. Even though the actress said it in a lighthearted manner as a joke, it did not sit well with MP Narottam Mishra. According to reports, he has ordered the police to look into her comment and file a complaint within 24 hours.
