Shweta Tiwari Speaks On Palak Tiwari’s Dating Rumours: ‘My Daughter Dating Every Third Guy’

Palak Tiwari, known for her debut in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, has often been the subject of speculation regarding her personal life, particularly her rumored relationship with Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of Saif Ali Khan. Amid frequent public appearances of the duo, the rumors have gained traction. However, Palak’s mother, veteran television actor Shweta Tiwari, recently addressed these speculations and their impact during an interview with SCREEN.

When asked about the ongoing dating rumors surrounding her daughter, Shweta expressed indifference. “Rumours don’t bother me anymore,” she said. “Over the years, I’ve realised people’s memory lasts for about four hours. They will forget the news after that, so why bother? According to these rumors, my daughter is dating every third guy, and I’m supposedly getting married every year. As per the internet, I’m already married thrice. These things used to affect me earlier, especially in an era before social media, when negativity about actors would sell. But after dealing with that, this doesn’t faze me anymore.”

Shweta on Palak and Social Media Trolling

The conversation took a deeper turn when Shweta reflected on the challenges her daughter faces in the era of online trolling. She admitted that while she tries to stay strong, the harsh comments often affect her. “It does scare me at times. Palak is very innocent and can’t retaliate to such negativity. This era of trolling has turned so ugly. Even though she’s strong, I worry about what might happen if it starts affecting her confidence,” Shweta said.

She credited Palak for teaching her how to cope with online hate, adding, “She doesn’t read comments, which helps. But you never know what could still hurt her. When she gets trolled, it impacts me a lot.”

A Glimpse into Their Careers

Shweta Tiwari is a household name, celebrated for her roles in popular television series like Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Parvarrish, and Begusarai. Meanwhile, Palak is carving her path in Bollywood. Despite her debut film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan underperforming at the box office, she remains undeterred. Her upcoming project, The Virgin Tree, a horror-comedy featuring Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, and Sunny Singh, is slated for release in 2025.

As both mother and daughter navigate their professional and personal lives, Shweta’s candid take on rumors and trolling sheds light on the challenges faced by celebrities in the age of social media.
