Sky Force Star Veer Pahariya Responds To Privileged Lineage Criticism: ‘What Can I Do?’
Veer Pahariya, brother of Shikhar Pahariya, has made his Bollywood debut in the highly anticipated film Sky Force, starring alongside Akshay Kumar and Sara Ali Khan. While Akshay plays the lead, Veer has garnered significant attention for his role as an Indian Air Force officer. However, his entry into the film industry has not been without controversy, as netizens have flooded social media with memes and critical comments about his privileged background and viral dance moves.
Veer Pahariya Addresses Criticism Over Privilege
In an interview with ABP Entertainment LIVE, Veer responded to the online trolling regarding his family background. The actor, who is basking in the success of Sky Force, acknowledged the backlash but maintained that he remains focused on his work. Addressing the criticism, he stated:
“What can I do? I consider myself fortunate to be born into this family. My dream has always been to become an artist. So, what should I do to satisfy them? Should I end myself and be born again?”

Veer emphasized that his only response to negativity is hard work and dedication. He added that he does not dwell on negative comments and gives people the benefit of the doubt. He further remarked:
“All I can do is work with pure dedication so that people believe I deserve a place in this industry. I don’t focus on negativity. Maybe those spreading hate haven’t watched the film yet. Perhaps I haven’t reached their hearts with this film, but I will try to win them over with my next. My aim is to turn this hate into love.”
Viral Dance Step Sparks Memes
Veer also addressed the trolling over his dance moves in the song Rang from Sky Force. His steps in the track have become a subject of online humor, with one viral meme comparing his movement to:
“Backbenchers when they show Earth’s movement around the sun.”
The actor took the memes sportingly and explained the challenges behind the dance. He revealed that he had to shoot the step multiple times over three and a half days. Additionally, having a flat foot made the movement particularly painful, as it required balancing his entire body weight on one leg. Despite the struggle, Veer admitted he never anticipated the step would gain such viral traction.
While Sky Force continues to perform at the box office, Veer remains optimistic about proving himself in Bollywood.
