John Cena’s naked stunt at the Oscars 2024 has been described as a humiliation ritual by controversial influencer Andrew Tate.
The 96th Academy Awards, or the Oscars 2024, were an exciting event. The deserving took home the honours, and the rest prepared themselves to do even better. Amidst it all, John Cena grabbed the spotlight with his naked act, referring to the 1970s streakers.
After the celebrations have died down, it is time for people to dive deeper into what went down at the grand event. The controversial influencer Andrew Tate claimed that Cena’s on-stage stunt was a humiliation ritual.
What Happened?
Jimmy Kimmel, the host of the Oscars, brought up the 1974 Academy Award ceremony’s streaker incident. That served as John’s cue to act out the incident again and supposedly run across the stage.
But the former WWE champion got cold feet and was uncomfortable doing it. Ironically, he was there to present the Best Costume Award. It went to Emma Stone’s Poor Things.
When the nominations were shown on screen, Cena did a quick wardrobe change, and he was draped in a curtain-like thing that looked like a toga.

John Cena’s nude stunt went viral on social media within moments of it airing on screen. Andrew Tate is an internet personality and a former professional kickboxer. He often spews out conspiracy theories. Along with that, he also uses social media to engage in conversations.
After the Oscars, Tate went live on the Rumlble platform. He made those startling revelations about the DC actor, per Marca.

“I’m sure John Cena when he wanted to become a wrestling superstar and get muscly,
Didn’t intend on ending up walking around naked or putting on a dress” pic.twitter.com/7Kfs3Icn9b

Tate stated, “I want to make something clear: I was saying this morning about how John Cena was doing his humiliation ritual at the Oscars to satisfy his gay paymasters, and some people were saying, ‘Oh, maybe he is promoting his movie.’”
Andrew also quoted an old post on X about slavery and wrote, “We know which side John Cena chose.”
