He advised actors not to succumb to such pressures and stressed that there are no shortcuts to success and that everyone has to work really hard to achieve success. Ravi said, ‘I have faced many such attacks in my youth… I want to tell everyone that there is no shortcut to success. I know many people who have tried such shortcuts and have regretted it immensely. They have gotten into addictions, or have taken their own lives.’

Ravi chose to persevere and wait for his moment of success and establish himself in the industry and said, ‘I have not seen anyone become a star by taking shortcuts. Wait for your time to come. Be patient. I would tell myself that one day the sun will rise for me. All my friends in the 90s, all of them were very successful. ‘Shri Kumar and Ajay Devgn became superstars. But I waited for my time.’
