In a viral video, the ‘Khoobsurat’ actress is heard pointing out a religious custom and refusing to follow it. She confesses fighting with pandit ji who told her to feed honey as the first bite to her little munchkin. Sonam says that she made it clear that she was not going to feed honey but apple puree to her son.

The actress further detailed the reason behind the same. She tells that she read in a book about raising a child about how feeding honey to kids who are less than one year old can be fatal for them. Honey contains Clostridium Botulinum which can cause a rare illness called infant botulism.
