Sonu’s Vaccination Campaign, Know What Is Special!!
Actor Sonu Sood gained huge popularity for his social work during the Corona pandemic. Last year, during the lockdown when government services were closed, Sonu did a remarkable job of sending helpless migrant laborers and students to their homes safely. Through private buses and airplanes, Sonu took the stranded people to their hometowns and states. Twitter was flooded with people seeking help from Sonu. Sonu had started the helpline also to continue his charity work in harsh periods of the pandemic. Because of all his humanitarian works, Sonu was tagged as ‘Messiah’ by the Indian population. The actor also released his book titled ‘I am no Messiah.’ later.
Now, Sonu has once again stood up to spread awareness about the vaccination. He recently visited Kala Qila in Mumbai’s Dharavi with frontline workers and their children to spread awareness of the importance of vaccination.
While we as a nation are moving forward on the path of recovery and putting the Covid-19 pandemic behind us, the concern for slum dwellers is still quite large. Talking about the same, Sonu has said, “We cannot take the Covid situation lightly as of yet. According to many researchers, there are many individuals in the slum areas who are not yet vaccinated. The idea is to get the entire nation jabbed to be corona-free.”
He further added, “With our Sunday drive, my agenda is to encourage maximum people to get their doses. I feel there is no one better than the kids of frontline workers who can help in motivating these countrymen for the same.”
For the unversed, India has successfully crossed the mark of 100 crore covid-19 vaccination doses.
Coming back to Sonu’s work life, he has already wrapped his upcoming film, ‘Prithviraj’ with Akshay Kumar and is currently prepping for the Telugu film ‘Acharya’. Besides that, Sood has also appeared in songs. His song with Tony Kakkar, Saath Kya Nibhaoge gained millions of views.
