Ajith Kumar, the celebrated actor and motor racing enthusiast, made an impressive return to the racing circuit by clinching third place in the prestigious Dubai 24H car racing event. This marks his comeback to the sport after several years, leaving fans and fellow racers in awe of his skill and determination.
The triumphant moment was made even more special as Ajith celebrated by waving the Indian flag, with actor R Madhavan and Ajith’s wife, Shalini, cheering from the sidelines. Videos of the event have gone viral on social media, capturing the actor’s heartfelt moments with his family.
In one widely shared clip, Ajith is seen sharing a kiss with Shalini, who had been enthusiastically supporting him from the pit lane. He then turned to their daughter, Anoushka, and gave her a warm hug, further melting the hearts of his fans.
Ajith’s racing team announced the victory on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Double whammy for Ajith Kumar. 3rd place in the 991 category and Spirit of the Race in the GT4 category. What a remarkable comeback after an accident due to brake failure. #AjithKumar #AjithKumarRacing #24HDubai #AKRacing #DubaiRaceWeekend #Racing.”
The actor’s participation in the race was not without challenges. During a practice session last week, Ajith experienced a high-speed crash due to brake failure. A video released by his team showed his car spinning multiple times before crashing into a barrier. Fortunately, he was rescued quickly and taken to an ambulance. His manager, Suresh Chandra, later confirmed to NDTV, “Ajith is unhurt, hale, and healthy. He was driving at a speed of 180 km/h when the accident occurred.”
On the professional front, Ajith is preparing for the release of his upcoming films Vidaamuyarchi, directed by Magizh Thirumeni, and Good Bad Ugly, helmed by Adhik Ravichandran. While Good Bad Ugly is scheduled to hit theatres on April 10, updates on the release date of Vidaamuyarchi are awaited.
Ajith’s spectacular performance at Dubai 24H has not only reignited his passion for racing but also further cemented his status as a multi-talented icon in Indian cinema and sports.
