A complaint was lodged by Shah Rukh

According to ANI, Shah Rukh filed a written complaint with the Maharashtra government, citing the police. After the success of Pathan and Jawan, he said he began receiving death threats on the phone.

From October 5th, security was provided

According to Indian Express’s sources, the Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) has ordered all police commissioners, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) in the state to give “Y+ with an escort scale of security to Khan with immediate effect.”

The formal letter was dated October 5th. Recent “imminent and probable” threats against Shah Rukh prompted an increase in security, the report said. There will be 11 people protecting Shah Rukh under the Y+ category. This includes six commandos, four police officers, and a traffic clearance vehicle. The officers would live in his neighbourhood of Mannat in Mumbai.

In light of past events this year

This comes after months of heightened security surrounding Mannat in response to Shah Rukh demonstrations. There were demonstrations in August against celebrities who promoted mobile gaming apps.
