Star Plus’ Imlie Heads For Another Generation Leap, New Star Cast Will Be Introduced

Popular show ‘Imlie’ is all set to take another generation leap introducing new star cast in the show. Currently, Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra are playing Imlie and Atharva, the lead characters in this show. According to sources, the makers of Imlie are looking for suitable new cast and are also doing a few mock shoots.

Megha Chakraborty Reacts On The Generation Leap

Megha Chakraborty who plays Imlie in the show was recently contacted to comment on the ongoing rumors of generation leap. The actress replied that nothing is confirmed yet by the producers. Earlier, Atharva aka Karan Vohra had declined the rumors of generational leap in Imlie.

Fans Frustrated With The Multiple Leaps 

The fans of Imlie, however, don’t seem happy with another generation’s leap and are bashing the makers for the same. Some Twitter users are complaining over the repetitive storyline of the show.

Imlie To Die In The Bomb Blast 

Currently, the show’s track is showing the blast of Imlie’s car leaving people to speculate about her death. Imlie manages to save several lives but ends up giving her own life. Atharva is in major shock and decides to be both father and mother for kairi. This might be the ending of Imlie and Atharva’s love story which will eventually lead to the generation leap. According to sources, Kairi’s story will be shown in the drama after the leap.

Previous Generation Leaps In Imlie 

Imlie has been the flagship show of star plus since 2020. In the start of the show, Sumbul Touqeer Khan, Gashmeer Mahajani played the lead roles later joined by Fahmaan Khan. The show took its first generation leap in September, 2022 marking the exit of Sumbul Touqeer Khan and Fahmaan Khan. 

After a generation leap, Megha Chakraborty, Karan Vohra and Seerat Kapoor took the responsibility of the show on their shoulders and the show continued to perform well in TRPs. However, it has not yet been confirmed whether Megha Chakraborty and Karan Vohra will remain the part of Imlie or not after the leap. Also, no new name has yet been disclosed by the makers who will be joining the show after the 2nd generation leap.
