“Still There Is Elite System”, Hina Khan Denied Entry To Indian Pavillion At Cannes Festival!!

The biggest film event of the year is the Cannes Film Festival. The eyes of the world are on this event. This film festival is also special because it is attended by stars from all over the world and they get to see their stunning look on the red carpet. This time Deepika Padukone has been included as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. Apart from Deepika, Pooja Hegde, Tamannaah Bhatia, Aishwarya Rai, AR Rahman, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, Hina Khan and others attended the Cannes.

TV actress Hina Khan has attended the Cannes Film Festival for the second time. The actress was quite excited for the Cannes this time. She had gone for the poster launch of her Indo English film ‘Country of the Blind’ directed by Rahat Kazmi, but the actress did not get an entry in her country’s pavilion. Hina Khan has got a big blow from this. Hina Khan said that she is ‘disappointed’ at not being invited to the event.

The India Pavilion was inaugurated by Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur in the presence of celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Pooja Hegde, Tamannaah Bhatia, Urvashi Rautela, singer Mame Khan and others on Tuesday, the second day of Cannes Film Festival 2022. Hina Khan was not included in this program.

In an interview with Film Companion on the sidelines of the festival, Hina said- She wanted to launch the poster of her new film at the India Pavilion, but she was not invited to its opening ceremony. She said that at Cannes 2022 all the actors belong to the same industry and we have come here to represent India. She said- “I am very excited about the poster launch of my film. Everyone knows that I will come for this and I am a part of the Indian pavilion.”

Regarding not attending the India Pavilion event, Hina said – “Recently there was an opening ceremony and the event was taking place in the Indian Pavilion, there were not only Bollywood stars but also singers. There were many other well-known talented personalities besides her, but the elite system is still there. Hina further said – “It is not that I am jealous of them. Rather, I feel proud of them, and it breaks my heart to see why I was not there?” Hina Khan further said, ‘At least I could have been in the audience.’
