‘Strict Actions Should Be Taken Against Such People Who Say Vulgar Things’, Raza Murad On Samay Raina Controversy

Everyone is reacting differently to the controversy that erupted due to the comments of Ranveer Allahbadia aka Beer Biceps and others on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Talent’. Some are speaking in favor of the judges of the show and some are against them asking strict action against such people. After Mukesh Khanna, Imtiaz Ali, Manoj Bajpayee, Sunil Pal, Ayesha Khan, and others, now actor Raza Murad has also reacted to this controversy.

Criticizing Samay Raina and other people associated with the show, veteran Bollywood actor Raza Murad said, ‘Some people say such vulgar things in public, some people abuse and there is no ban on them yet. But better late than never. I would like to say that democracy does not mean spreading vulgarity, our constitution does not allow this. Strict actions should be taken against such people so that they don’t commit such mistakes again.’

The actor said in a conversation with one of the media houses, ‘Can someone stoop to this level for popularity? There are comedy artists like Johnny Lever, the late Raju Srivastava, and Kapil Sharma. Have they ever used any vulgar language? Rather, they are the most famous. You talk about forcibly entering your parents’ bedroom? The whole country is shocked. We are also guilty to some extent that we are tolerating such shows in which abusive language is used openly.’

Raza Murad also demanded a ban on ‘India’s Got Latent’ and further said, ‘Thankfully people took notice of it and action was taken against it… We live in a society where parents are considered God and just to attract a little attention, you talk about forcibly entering their bedroom and using obscene words about them. What happened is against the law of the country, if you are given freedom of expression, you cannot abuse anyone, spread obscenity, or defame anyone’s character, and that too your mother’s… Such shows should be banned… We will follow the court’s decision.’
