During a recent episode of the popular Indian quiz show, Kaun Banega Crorepati 15, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, a light-hearted moment occurred when Suhana Khan, daughter of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, faced a question about her father’s accolades.
Suhana, along with the young actors of the Netflix film The Archies, was present to promote their work during the ‘Super Sandook’ round. Amitabh posed a question regarding Shah Rukh Khan’s unachieved honors, which included the Padma Shri, Legion of Honour, L’Etoile d’Or, and the Volpi Cup.
With confidence, Suhana answered “Padma Shri,” which led to a surprised reaction from both the host and fellow guest, Vedang. Shah Rukh Khan had received the Padma Shri in 2005, making Suhana’s answer incorrect. The correct answer was the Volpi Cup.
Earlier in the show, Suhana shared that her father had playfully reminded her that Amitabh had once played his father onscreen, suggesting that she should be asked easy questions. This advice became a humorous focal point after her slip-up. The episode was filled with entertainment and laughter, as Amitabh jokingly chided Suhana for not knowing her father’s achievements. Despite the embarrassment, the moment was taken in good spirits, showcasing the camaraderie and light-heartedness of the show.
Suhana’s appearance on KBC was part of the promotional activities for The Archies, where she plays Veronica Lodge. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson, Agastya Nanda, as Archie and is currently streaming on Netflix.
The episode served as a reminder of the enduring charm of Kaun Banega Crorepati and the Bachchan family’s influence on Indian entertainment, from the silver screen to television quiz shows.
