Let us tell you that Sumona Chakraborty had told in her post that she was mistreated by Maratha reservation agitators in South Mumbai. She shared a long post on her Instagram condemning the assault, which she has now deleted without giving any reason. Sumona wrote on Instagram, ‘Today at 12:30 pm. I was going from Colaba to Fort, and suddenly my car was stopped by a mob. A man wearing an orange stole was hitting my bonnet loudly and was laughing. He was pressing his protruding belly against my car. He was proving something absurd.’

Sumona further wrote, ‘The man’s friends were shouting ‘Jai Maharashtra!’ loudly and laughing at my window. We moved a little further, and the same thing was repeated. Twice at an interval of five minutes. No police. No law and order.’ The actress further said that she was feeling unsafe in her car in South Bombay in broad daylight.

The roads were littered with banana peels, plastic bottles, and dirt. The pavements are occupied. The protesters are just eating, sleeping, bathing, cooking, toileting, defecating, making video calls, making reels, and viewing Mumbai in the name of protest. Sumona also said that for the first time in years, she felt unsafe in Mumbai. She writes, ‘I suddenly felt how lucky I was that I had a male friend with me. I started thinking what would have happened if I were alone!! I felt like recording a video, but quickly realized that this could anger them even more. So I did not do that. It is very scary to know that no matter who you are or where you are, law and order can collapse in a moment.
