Search engine Google has unveiled its ‘Year in Search 2022.’ A list of the biggest trends in search over the past 11+ months of 2022 has been revealed.
The search engine displayed the top 10 searches under various categories, one of which is People. In the top ten list of most searched people in India in the past year, four are from the entertainment industry. It includes Sushmita Sen at number 5. On the other hand, Lalit Modi made his relationship with Sushmita public. He is number 4.
The list is headed by Indian and foreign political figures, with BJP leader Nupur Sharma at number one, and President Droupadi Murmu at number two. The new British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak is number three. The middle order is dominated by names in the world of entertainment.
But they are not the usual suspects. Lalit Modi and Sushmita Sen sit at number 4 and 5 respectively, courtesy of their surprise romance. Lalit revealed their sudden romance on social media earlier in the year. However, Sushmita is yet to comment on the matter. She has not posted anything about Lalit on social media since She fueled people’s curiosity about the romance.
On the other hand, Hollywood star Amber Heard is number ten on the list. The actor has been in the news this year due to her high-profile defamation trial against actor and ex-husband Johnny Depp. According to Google data, Amber was the third most Googled person in the world this year, after Johnny, who is number one.
