A lot of people know about Sushmita Sen because of her personal life. This was seen in her posts in 2023 about having “a big heart attack” or her relationships with her ex-boyfriend Lalit Modi and her on-again, off-again boyfriend Rohman Shawl. As she told Indulge in a new interview, her love life has always been “an open book.” She also talked about when she plans to get married and whether ex-spouses can still be friends.
Sushmita on how to handle broken hearts
Sushmita said, “Well, my life has been an open book because I have lived it very honestly and sometimes fearlessly.” This is how she deals with heartbreaks with such grace. Having said that, honour isn’t something that only shows up in one part of your life; it’s who you are. So it doesn’t matter what choices you make, whether they hurt you, whether you are lied to, or whether you were wrong.
After-breakup friends?
When asked if ex-spouses can be friends and if she was going to get married, Sushmita said, “Yes, of course.” But I find it hard and unclear. There are times when people forget to set limits when they’re friends with their ex. I’ve seen it happen, though, so I know it’s possible. I’m lucky to have it in my life too… Yes, of course (Will she marry?)! There has never been a “never” time. It’s not the right time to get married because of your biological clock or because that’s what society tells you. But I will get married if the person is right for me and meets all my needs.”
Sushmita Sen’s relationships
It was between 2004 and 2006 that Sushmita was seeing star Randeep Hooda. In July 2022, it came out that she was dating Lalit Modi, the founder of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
In an interview with Mid-Day in 2023, Sushmita talked about her short relationship with Lalit. She said it was “just another phase” and that she found it funny that people called her a “gold digger.” Not long before this, Lalit’s social media posts about his friendship with Sushmita went viral. He showed pictures of the trips they took together.
