Bollywood beauty Sushmita Sen is a powerhouse of talent. She made a fabulous comeback with the 2020 web series, ‘Aarya’ and since then, there has been no looking back. The actress won hearts with her heartfelt performance and got back-to-back show offers. Sushmita is coming up next with a web show, ‘Taali’ where viewers will see a whole new avatar of the actress. She will be portraying the role of transgender activist, Shreegauri Sawant. Recently, the beauty pageant winner has revealed her daughter’s reaction to her taking up this challenging role.

Sushmita shares how daughters reacted to her ‘Taali’ role

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Sushmita told that she doesn’t need to ask her kids for an opinion because whether she asks or not, she gets it anyway. The actress shared that both her daughters- Renee and Alisah jumped with excitement after getting to know about ‘Taali’. But then, Renee was a little worried. She asked how Sushmita is going to pull off the character as she has seen a man play transgender before but had never seen a woman portray a transgender.

Furthermore, Renee gave her mother solid input on what people would opine and how Instagram would think. However, the actress asked her to not add more stress to it as she was thinking of it as a lifetime opportunity.

Earlier than this, Sushmita shared what needed to be done for her transformation as Gauri Sawant. She said that she had to bandage her chest and wear a crotch guard to look like her character. The actress also disclosed that after the release of the ‘Taali’ poster last year, some ‘nameless people’ landed on her social media and wrote ‘chhakka’ repeatedly. As a result, she blocked all of them.

For the unknown, Sushmita Sen is going to be seen in Ravi Jadhav’s biopic on transgender activist, Shreegauri Sawant. It will stream on Jio Cinema from Aug 15, 2023.
