Bollywood diva Sushmita Sen is not only a stunning actress but also a doting mother to her two adopted daughters, Renee Sen and Alisah Sen. She has always made sure to fulfil her responsibilities towards her kids. In a recent interview, the actress recalled an incident where she had to leave a film featuring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor midway as Renee was hospitalised in Mumbai.
In an interaction with Barkha Dutt, Sushmita shared that when Renee came into her life, she was not very healthy. She had a severe medical condition which needed attention. Once the actress was shooting in Canada with Akshay and Kareena on a multi-starrer film. She was under a lot of pressure. People around her saying that she’s not going to take her career seriously because she has become a mother at 24. So, she had a point to prove. She must be there on time, must do her job without any complaints.
Continuing further, Sushmita mentioned that she got a call from her father, who was babysitting Renee. He told that her daughter has been hospitalised and is very serious. So, she took a flight back and said, ‘I know this is the end of my career; I’m so sorry.’ The actress came and looked after Renee through one week of hospitalization. Sushmita stated that she superficially thought makers of the film were very nice about the entire incident. But when she ran back to say she is ready for the job, the damage was done.
Workwise, Sushmita Sen is winning accolades for her latest web show ‘Taali’. In the autobiographical series helmed by Ravi Jadhav, the actress has portrayed transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. She fights for India’s third gender in the show. Sushmita will appear next in ‘Aarya Season 3’ after successfully starring in its first two installments.
