Politician Fahad Ahmad bluntly called actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut a “bad politician” during a recent interview which made her wife, actor Swara Bhasker visibly surprised. Swara, however, seemed to steer clear of drama, offering praise for Kangana’s journey instead.

During an interview with Filmygyan, Swara and Fahad, who is the National President of Nationalist Youth Congress (Sharadchandra Pawar), were asked to assign a hashtag to Kangana Ranaut. Fahad responded, “I will say #BadPolitician.” He criticized Kangana’s handling of the flood-affected Mandi region, stating that despite being an MP, “she kept saying, ‘What can I do? I am not the Prime Minister.'” He argued that a representative’s job is to fight for special funds and go beyond political votes. While he acknowledged Kangana as a “really good actor,” he maintained she is “a very bad politician.”

Swara, visibly shocked by his candidness, offered a different perspective. “I will say #Destiny’sChild,” she said. “There is something very admirable about her and her journey and #NeverGiveUp, I don’t think she gives up in life.”

Fahad then recalled Kangana’s congratulatory message to the couple on their wedding, where she said they “look very compatible with each other and all.” Despite this, Fahad insisted on sticking with his #BadPolitician hashtag, prompting Swara to assert, “Pachas bar maat bolo (Don’t say it 50 times).”

Kangana and Swara’s Past Feud

Kangana Ranaut and Swara Bhasker have shared a long-standing feud spanning over five years, despite having worked together in Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015). Their public arguments began in 2020 when Kangana referred to Swara and Taapsee Pannu as ‘B-grade actresses.’ Kangana later claimed that Swara and Taapsee denied nepotism in Bollywood to impress Karan Johar but still “don’t get work.” Swara sarcastically replied to this comment on X, calling it a “compliment,” and the two later engaged in a Twitter banter that ended with Swara telling Kangana she loved her.

Last year, Swara reacted to Kangana being slapped by a CISF constable at the Chandigarh airport, stating it was wrong but urged focus on bigger national issues.
