Tamannaah Bhatia, synonymous with versatility and talent, has graced North and South Indian cinema with her remarkable performances. In an exclusive interview, she candidly discusses the constant scrutiny faced by celebrities, the misuse of social media, and her commitment to living life without being overly bothered by external opinions.
The Unavoidable Public Eye
Being in the limelight comes with its share of opinions, judgments, and scrutiny. Tamannaah acknowledges this reality but maintains a pragmatic approach. She said, “There is a saying that goes ‘Kuch toh log kahengey, logon ka kaam hai kehna’ (People would say something; their job is to speak). So that will happen, and there’s nothing much you can do about it. I am not so concerned with what other people do.”
Focusing On Personal Growth
Tamannaah’s philosophy centres around personal growth and self-improvement. She emphasises that her primary focus is on what she needs to do rather than what others think.
“That’s the honest thing. I always focus on what I need to do and not what suits others because, in the end, it’s your life. And as an audience, their responsibility is not to give unimportant news importance. If you don’t give it importance, it doesn’t exist,” she asserted.
Her unwavering commitment to her journey allows her to navigate the noise of external perceptions. As an audience, Tamannaah believes that responsibility lies in not giving undue importance to sensationalism. The audience can contribute to a healthier media environment by choosing not to magnify trivial matters.
Balancing North And South
Tamannaah seamlessly juggles projects in both the North and South Indian film industries. Both regions feel like home for her, and she identifies as an artist above all else. “Our life is very, very vagabond,” she explained, adding, “Well, I don’t have to because, for me, both are places where I’ve almost spent all my growing-up years. I was born and brought up in Mumbai, and I have worked a lot of my early life in the South, so both feel very much like home to me, and I feel like an artist. Anyway, our life is very, very vagabond. We are always travelling, so the place never matters. It’s always just the projects and the people that make it all worth it.”

Tamannaah Bhatia’s grounded approach to public scrutiny serves as an inspiration. As she continues to shine on screen, her resilience and commitment to personal growth remind us that staying true to oneself is the ultimate victory.
