Tamannaah Bhatia Taps Into Startup Spirit With ‘Do You Wanna Partner’

Bollywood actor Tamannaah Bhatia is set to take on a new role as a startup founder in her upcoming Prime Video series, Do You Wanna Partner. At the trailer launch event in Mumbai, the actor spoke about her preparations for the role, revealing that she drew inspiration from real-life entrepreneur Vinita Jain, the founder of Biotique.

In response to a question from Hindustan Times, Tamannaah said, “We also wanted people to come on a genuine journey of how a startup is built.” She added that Vinita Jain “was kind enough to actually take us through the processes and the hardships one has to go through, while you are building a business.”

”Your vulnerability is your biggest strength”

The show’s trailer reveals that Tamannaah’s character starts a beer company with her best friend, played by Diana Penty. When asked about her character’s ability to navigate the male-dominated world of breweries and alcohol without losing her femininity, Tamannaah credited the show’s directors, Collin D’Cunha and Archit Kumar.

She shared that the directors told her and Diana, “Aap log ladkiyan hoti ho. Aapko koi zaroorat hi nahi hai isko manly banane ki (You are women. There is no need for you to be manly).” Tamannaah added, “The power that women have is different. Your vulnerability is your biggest strength. In fact, the true superpower of a woman is that she is always underestimated.”
