Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta is famous for triggering #MeToo movement in Indian Film Industry in 2018. Back then, the actress accused actor Nana Patekar, choreographer Ganesh Acharya, director Vivek Agnihotri and others of sexual misconduct. Now recently, she held a press conference in Mumbai to show her support to reality TV star Rakhi Sawant’s estranged husband Adil Khan Durrani in his ongoing legal battle with Sawant.

Tanushree Dutta lashes out at Nana

During her interaction with media, Tanushree slammed Nana when a reported asked something related to him. She refused to talk about him as he has become “irrelevant” now. She said that she doesn’t want to give any “publicity” to him by taking his name on a public platform.

Pointing towards Patekar’s upcoming film with Agnihotri ‘The Vaccine War’, a journalist asked the ‘Aashiq Banaya Apne’ actress why people who ‘ruined’ her career are doing films, and she is not getting any offers. To this, Tanushree replied, “Why are we discussing them? We should not talk about them as people like Nana Patekar and Vivek Agnihotri have nothing to do with me now.”

The 39-year old actress further stated that she doesn’t want to give publicity by talking about them. She recalled how in 2008, Nana’s film was not selling and so, he asked her to do a cameo in his film to make it work. Tanushree claimed that even today, these people need her name to run their films. She stated:

“Even today, Nana Patekar can’t sell his film on his own, so he incites the media to ask me questions about his films and I, like a volcano, will say something which will give fame to his film. They are already on the road anyway.”

Tanushree Dutta’s claims against Nana and others

Tanushree Dutta opened a can of worms in 2018 when she levelled serious sexual harassment allegations against Nana and Vivek. She said that she was harassed by Patekar on the sets of 2009 film ‘Horn Ok Pleassss’ and by Agnihotri during the making of 2005 film ‘Chocolate’. The actress had filed a complaint with the Cine and Television Artistes Association (CINTAA) for damage to her property and reputation.
