Tapsee Pannu in her recent interview has opened up on how she was replaced in a film at the last minute after she blocked her dates for it. Though she did not mention the name of the film, Tapsee said that the makers apologized to her for replacing her.

 

During an interaction with RJ Siddharth Kannan about being replaced, Tapsee revealed,” Mere sath hua hai. Bas taiyaar hoke nahi gayi thi, maine sirf dates di thi aur uske baad mujhe nikaal diya( It happened to me. I didn’t get ready for the shoot, I just gave my dates and then I was thrown out) . I got to know through the media.

The actress later revealed that though the makers later met her and apologized, they were hesitant to reveal the real reasons for dropping her from the movie.on being asked if the makers reached out to her when she spoke about it in the media, Tapsee revealed, “Obviously they called me and met me, not to say kyu bol rhe ho( why are you talking about it in the media) and all, just to apologise. But still they were hesitant to reveal the real reasons ki aisa kyu kiya.

In 2019, the actress told Mumbai Mirror about being dropped from ‘Pati ,Patni or Woh’. Back then in her interview, she stated that she deserved to know the reason for her being dropped. She claimed that she was not informed prior to the decision taken by the producers. The film starred Kartik Aryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Pandey in lead roles.

At the time, producers Bhushan Kumar and Juno Chopra had issued a statement saying that they approached several actors who they thought would fit the role but never made any commitment to Tapsee.

Meanwhile, Tapsee revealed that her Haseen Dilruba co-stars, Vikrant Massey and Harshvardhan Rane were ‘scared’ of filming intimate scenes with her. The film drops digitally on July 2.
