The stars and crew of Annu Kapoor’s film ‘Humare Barah’ are receiving death and rape threats. Apart from Annu Kapoor, the film stars Manoj Joshi, Parth Samthan, Ashwini Kalsekar, and Abhimanyu Singh. According to reports, Annu Kapoor had sought protection from the police after the cast and crew of the film received death and rape threats from unknown people. Now the actor has come forward and said that he is not afraid of these threats.

Annu Kapoor is not afraid of the death threats he received over his next film. He says that he approached the police only to fulfill his duty of flagging the matter. He said, “Our writer of Hamare Barah is a Muslim, he is suffering more due to the situation at the moment. The police have also had to go to the homes of the entire female cast as they have been given death threats. Some fundamentalists are protesting on social media and spreading hatred. As a precaution, we had to inform the police and the court.”

Annu Kapoor further said, “I do not watch films, TV or OTT content. My job is to earn money by working in films. But for this, I will not steal or do anything illegal, or do anything against my country. I have not even seen the teaser of any film to date, leave the screening then. I have not even seen Dream Girl 1 or 2. There is no political statement in the film.”

Annu Kapoor said that these threats do not affect him. He said, “I am not afraid of all this nonsense. When my time to leave this world comes, no one will be able to stop me and when it does not happen, no one can send me. However, when my wife was told about the threats by my social media account manager, she got a little upset.”
