The Archies director Zoya Akhtar has recently expressed her desire to work with Shah Rukh Khan in a full-fledged role. Suhana Khan, daughter of Shah Rukh, is making her Bollywood debut. In a recent interview with News18, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara famed director Zoya Akhtar shared a burning desire to work with Shah Rukh Khan for a full-fledged role.
“Of course, I want to work with him! I don’t think there’s any director in the industry who doesn’t want to work with Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.” Then she laid down the groundwork for her wish to come to life. “But it has to be the right fit, the right film and the right role for someone like him. It will align when it aligns.”
Zoya and Shah Rukh had already worked together in her 2009 movie Luck By Chance. Shah Rukh has done a cameo in this movie, spilling about stardom to Farhan Akhtar’s character.

In the meanwhile, The Archies has been churning a lot of anticipation all over. The movie is a stunning collaboration of talented actors viz. Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Dot, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, and Mihir Ahuja.
Shah Rukh is often seen praising the movie on social media. He penned warm appreciation for the movie when its trailer was out for the first time.

Zoya Akhtar is happy with the ‘talented bunch of kids’
When asked about whether she takes herself as a guide, friend and philosopher to the Bollywood newbies, Zoya Akhtar laughs.
“I wouldn’t claim any of those positions. I am their director. I’ve worked with them. They chose me as fiercely as I chose them. I’m very happy to have been there for them at the start of their journey. They’re lovely and a talented bunch of kids. I’ll always be there for them.”
A reprise of the classic: The Archies
The Archies is a live-action musical set in the backdrop of the 1960s. The storyline reprises the world of classic Archies comic books. The location is the famous and fabled town of Riverdale in India.
Suhana Khan plays Veronica Lodge, Agastya Nanda as Archie Andrews, Khushi Kapoor as Betty Cooper, Vedang Raina as Reggie Mantle, Dot as Ethel Muggs, Yuvraj Menda as Dilton Doiley, and Mihir Ahuja as Jughead Jones. Suhan Khan is also making her singing debut with the song Jab Tum Na Theen.
The film is set to roll out on Netflix on December 7th this year. It is also rumored that Shah Rukh Khan might make a guest appearance.
