‘The Kashmir Files’: Prime Minister Modi Praised The Film And Met All The Film Cast; Checkout Here!
On Saturday, the team behind ‘The Kashmir Files,’ which included producer Abhishek Agarwal, director Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, and actress Pallavi Joshi, met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and expressed gratitude for their film. The Prime Minister congratulated the filmmakers for daring to create a film on the plight of Kashmiri Hindus during the insurgency in Kashmir.
Actress Pallavi Josh joined Vivek and Abhishek during their stay. The film producer Abhishek Agarwal congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi, expressing his thanks. A Prime Minister does not admire a film regularly, but this seems to be a remarkable achievement for the team.
The film, which is about the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990, stars Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi. ‘The Kashmir Files,’ on the other hand, has garnered unequivocal good reviews and is doing well at the box office. Due to positive word of mouth, the movie’s second-day figures are predicted to be higher than the first.
On his Twitter account, Abhishek Agarwal tweeted photos of their meeting with the Prime Minister and stated, “It was a joy to meet Shri. Narendra Modi Ji, our Hon’ble Prime Minister. What makes it even more wonderful is his admiration for #TheKashmirFiles and his beautiful thoughts about it. We’ve never been more proud of a film we’ve made. Thank you very much, Modi Ji.”
This was retweeted by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri, who added, “I am extremely proud of you, @AbhishekOfficl, for having the guts to expose Bharat’s most difficult reality. The screenings of #TheKashmirFiles in the United States demonstrated the world’s shifting sentiment under @NarendraModi’s leadership.” On its opening day, the film, released in theatres on March 11, earned Rs. 3.55 crores.
