Actually, we are talking about Raisen Fort. Built-in 1200 AD, this fort is situated on the top of the hill. It is a wonderful testament to the ancient architecture and quality, which, even after many centuries, stands as majestic as it was before. Made of sandstone, this fort is surrounded by huge rock walls. These walls have nine gates and 13 bastions.

Raisen Fort has a splendid history. Many kings have ruled here, one of whom was Sher Shah Suri. However, he had lost his sweat in winning this fort. According to Shershahi, even after four months of siege, he could not win this fort.
It is said that Sher Shah Suri had made cannons by smelting copper coins to win this fort, due to which he was lucky to win. Although it is said that Sher Shah had resorted to deception to win it in 1543 AD. At that time this fort was ruled by King Puranmal. As soon as he came to know that he had been cheated, he himself beheaded him to save his wife Rani Ratnavali from the enemies.
Raisen Fort
There is a very mysterious story associated with this fort. It is said that Raja Rajsen here had a Paras stone, which could turn iron into gold. Many wars were also fought for this mysterious stone, but when King Rajsen was defeated, he threw the Paras stone into a pond located in the fort itself.
