The Witcher Season 4: Liam Hemsworth Replaces Henry Cavill As Geralt Of Rivia!

Henry Cavill has announced that he will not play Geralt of Rivia in Season 4 of The Witcher. The actor revealed that he will pass the baton to Liam Hemsworth.

Henry Cavill, who portrayed one of the most popular fantasy series characters, Geralt of Rivia, in Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski’s The Witcher book series, will no longer play the role in Season 4. The actor made the shocking announcement on Instagram, as well as revealing who has been recast in the role.

Henry took to Instagram to announce his departure from the role of Geralt of Rivia, writing, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, Unfortunately, I will no longer be able to bear my medallion and swords for Season 4. Mr Liam Hemsworth will take over as the White Wolf in my absence.

As with the greatest literary characters, I pass the torch with gratitude for the time spent as Geralt and excitement to see Liam’s interpretation of this most fascinating and nuanced of men. Liam, good sir, this character has quite a lot of depth; have fun diving into it and see what you may find.”

In one of the most recent developments, Henry Cavill will bid farewell to the beloved character Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher season 4.

The Witcher Season 4 Casting: Liam Hemsworth As Geralt Of Rivia 

After Cavill revealed that Liam will be continuing the story of Geralt of Rivia from Season 4, Hemsworth took to Instagram to confirm the news and express his thoughts on taking on a fan-favorite character. Liam revealed that he has long been a fan of The Witcher and is “overjoyed” to have been cast in the Netflix series.

Hemsworth responded to his casting in an Instagram post, writing, “As a Witcher fan, I’m overjoyed at the prospect of playing Geralt of Rivia. Henry Cavill has been an incredible Geralt, and I’m honoured that he’s handed me the reins and asked me to pick up the White Wolf’s blades for the next chapter of his adventure.”

The 32-year-old actor continued to praise Henry, saying, “I’ve been a fan of yours for years and was inspired by what you did with this beloved character. I may have big shoes to fill, but I’m very excited to be entering The Witcher world.”

Seasons 4 and 5 of the series have reportedly been greenlit by Netflix and will be shot back-to-back. While it is unknown when the production will begin, the seasons are currently in the writing stage.
