Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter are relishing the fruits of their labour. The young duo was constantly working for almost a year and a half on their film ‘Dhadak’. They have also been busy in promotions of the same since past one month. Both Ishaan and Janhvi travelled to different cities every day and gave numerous interviews. Their adorable friendship and camaraderie have evoked interest and curiosity among fans and media across the country. After a long wait, Dhadak finally released yesterday on 20 July 2018.

While the film is getting good reviews from the public, celebrities from the film industry are also showering the young actors with all the love and appreciation. Among their fans, peers and the media, Janhvi Kapoor’s ex-boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya also seemed excited about her debut.

For those who don’t know, Janhvi’s alleged ex-boyfriend, Shikhar is the grandson of the former union minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. Shikhar watched ‘Dhadak’ at the Yash Raj studios last night at the special screening held for the film fraternity and other special guests. He yesterday took to Instagram and shared his excitement and love for Janhvi’s film ‘Dhadak’. He posted a picture of the film’s title shot from the screening and tagged Janhvi with a bunch of heart emojis.

Janhvi and Shikhar have broken up their relationship in the past but if Shikhar’s Instagram story is any proof, seems like the two are still on friendly terms. Their relationship was revealed when the two were snapped locking lips at a friend’s party in 2016. Their pictures went viral during that time and garnered a lot of media attention. If sources are to be believed, they soon broke up after the controversial incident. However, the two remained good friends over the years.

Janhvi and Ishaan’s ‘Dhadak’ is the Hindi remake of Marathi superhit film ‘Sairat’. The film is co-produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar and Apurva Mehta. The Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania director Shashank Khaitan has donned the director’s cap for this one, as well. ‘Dhadak’ is receiving mixed reactions from the public. While the young actors are being appreciated for their performances, some people are bashing the film for doing injustice to the original film ‘Sairat’.
