Tiger 3: Salman Khan To Reunite With ‘Love’ Co-Star Revathy After 32 Years!
Salman Khan is now occupied with his reality show Bigg Boss 16. Recently, on the sets of Weekend Ka Vaar, the actor was seen greeting Kajol and Revathy. They were spotted promoting their new film Salaam Venky.
Vishal Jethwa plays a crucial role in the film, which is directed by Revathy. Salman and Revathy’s reunion on the show piqued the interest of their admirers.
Salman and Revathy first appeared together in the 1991 love film Love
Suresh Krissna’s film ‘Love’ was a remake of the same director’s Telugu success ‘Prema.’ Salman and Revathy played star-crossed lovers in ‘Love.’ The song ‘Saathiya tuney kya kiya’ from the film is still remembered today. It was actually composed by Ilayaraja for the Telugu original, but Anand-Milind was given credit for the Hindi version.
During the Bigg Boss 16 promotions, the duo confirmed that they will appear together in Tiger 3. The film stars Katrina Kaif and is directed by Maneesh Sharma. According to reports, Emraan Hashmi will play a crucial role in the third instalment, while Shah Rukh Khan will make a special cameo.
Salman and Revathy are being reunited 32 years later, though not as the lead duo. Maneesh Sharma’s ‘Tiger 3’ will feature Revathy in a key role. Revathy will play Shenoy, the RAW chief who supports Salman’s career, in ‘Tiger 3,’ which will be released in November 2023.
Interestingly, Shenoy was played by the late Girish Karnad, who died shortly after reprising the character in ‘Tiger Zinda Hai.’ To accommodate Revathy, the role has been gender-swapped.
“I will be taking over Girishji’s position as RAW chief in Tiger 3,” Revathy confides.
Tiger 3 was formerly scheduled to be released on Eid 2023. The new release date was recently announced by the producers. A Diwali release date has been set for 2023 for the film.
Salman will be seen in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan in addition to Tiger 3. Farhad Samji is directing the film, which also stars Pooja Hegde and Shehnaaz Gill. He’s also working on Kick 2 with Jacqueline Fernandez and a No Entry sequel.
